We offer a service for skilled repairs and alterations to your much loved denim items. Choose from a standard service or contact us for more information about your requirements.

WHY REPAIR?

​You may have invested money, time and effort to create the perfect worn-in pair of jeans, however, it’s inevitable that some areas will weaken, leading to holes and tears. But here’s the good news, you can give them a new lease of life. 

 

Repairing your garments is not only a cost-effective choice but also a sustainable one. Instead of continuously purchasing new pieces, consider mending your existing denim. Discarded clothes sit in landfill, can take years to biodegrade and then contribute to toxic air pollution. By choosing to repair, you're contributing to a more eco-friendly world.

 

We will sympathetically repair your jeans using traditional techniques on our vintage industrial darning and lockstitch machines.

REPAIRS PRICES

CROTCH REPAIRS

We can fix single holes or a full crotch blowout. This will involve reinforcing and darning using colour matched thread.

Small Crotch 1 panel hole reinforced and darned £15

​Medium Crotch 2 panel holes reinforced and darned £25 

​Full Crotch Blowout 4 panel holes reinforced and darned  £40

POCKET REPAIRS

Front pocket mouth can be made good and pocket bags repaired. If the damage is severe, new pockets bags can be sewn in. Back pockets can be repaired and re-attached.

OTHER REPAIRS

You may have torn a belt loop, split a seam, worn a hole in your knees or shredded your turn ups. We can invisibly repair damage from wear and tear.

HOW TO ORDER REPAIRS

Follow the instructions below to complete the order form and send everything to us. Please email us at info@sidewinderapparel.co.uk  before you send your denim in for repair so we know to expect them.

STEP 1

Complete the order form, digitally or a printout.

We need to know:

  • ​Your contact details including a return address.

  • The brand of jeans.

  • All the repairs you require for each pair of jeans. Tick all the boxes that apply. If you can, please briefly describe your requirements.

  • The weight of denim:
    standard 12oz-14oz,
    heavy 15oz-18oz
    very heavy 19oz-23oz.​

  • Please use one form per garment. i.e for 2 pairs of jeans you need to complete 2 separate forms.

  • You can send us pictures for clarification.

STEP 2

Email us a notification and dispatch your jeans to SideWinder Apparel.

  • Send your jeans along with the form to SideWinder Apparel, Breezy, 77B Springfield Passage, Hythe, Kent CT21 5ER. Use a tracked service.

  • Printouts of the form are preferred but not necessary, you can email it.

  • On receipt of your order we will contact you to confirm your request and the cost of repairs. 

  • You will be sent a PayPal invoice.

  • Once invoice has been paid, your jeans will be repaired. Delays in payment means delays in repairs.

  • On completion of your repairs, you will receive an email informing you your jeans are on their way back to you with details for delivery tracking.

STEP 3

DENIM REPAIRS TERMS OF SERVICE

  • We cannot repair jeans made from stretch fabric.

  • Please ensure your jeans are clean before dispatching to us or we may need to charge you for dry cleaning.

  • Turnaround is 1-2 weeks from date of payment unless otherwise informed.

  • Please send your jeans to us using a tracked delivery service.

  • We accept no liability for any jeans that are lost during postage to us.

  • Should you choose to not go ahead with the repairs, you will be charged for the return postage.
